Okayama Ramen Festival

I went to the Okayama Ramen Festival with my son.

About 30 shops of ramen in Okayama City entried this festival.

Because it was the last day and nearly of end of time, many shops of ramen were almost sold out !

We had only one bowl of ramen.

It's good!!! but so expensive!!!

Lunch Time

My son is 4 years old , and he goes to the kindergarten since this April.
In april, he went back home before noon, but In May, lunch time in
kindergarten has started !

I don't have good memory about lunch time in my school days,
because I took long time to finish lunch.

Now my son seems to enjoy his lunch time in the kindergarten.
I hope to continue his good lunch time.

The first half of G.W.

The first half of G.W. ended. I had 4 consencutive holidays.

1st day - making my garden & taking my son to the swimming pool
2nd day -　taking part in the cleaning activity with neighborhood & BBQ
3rd day - shoping with my family
4th day - going to the park with my son and daughter, & practice of playing song that I'm going to sing in the wedding party of my friend.

I can't get motivated on my work after long holidays.

MY GARDEN

Golden-Week has started!

Yesterday, I made my garden. carrying soil, moving trees.

It was so hard work , I was exhausted in the evening...

SOIL Mountain

Yesterday, I was surplised when I got back home after working, because there was a soil mountain in my garden!
I have wanted a much of soil for remaking my garden , so my friend took them while I was working.
It's wonderful !!

I'm going to maintain my garden next weekend.

EXAM AGAIN

Last Sunday, I went to Okayama University to take the exam for Technical Engineer.For the first time in a long while, I used train in Tsuyama Line.I don't know that the West Entrance of Oyakayam Station was shutdown.

It was revenge because I took same exam last autumn and I failed.In this time, though I can't know the result yet, I did not so bad!

I think its good for refreshing to walk in University.

30

I had become 30 years old on February 25th.

30 is ..... Adult!?

In my childhood I thought 30 is more adult, more steady, more worthy.

But now, I'm NOT!

My Job

My job is System Engineer making computer soft-ware used in hospitals and crinics.

(including Electical Medical Chart)

Everyday I am sitting in front of my PC and programing.

I stare display over 8 hours a day, so my eyes go bad.....

self sufficiency

The nation's food self-sufficiency is low in Japan.
We have chiep foreign foods everyday.
No one knows they are safety or not.

Valentine Day

Is it a Japanese unique event that a woman send chocolate to a favorite man in valentine day?

Is it a strategy of Japanese Chocolate Company?

Hiroshima

I was born in Hiroshima, Japan.

Last week I went to Hiroshima city for my sister's wedding party, and I see the Hiroshima Peace Memorial including Atomic Bomb Dome.

Japan is the first and only country where Atomic Bomb was used (twice!)

In my childhood I was heard about WW2 and Atomic Bomb damages.

On August 6th, we had to go to school every year, although it was in summar vacation.

Since 1945 August, people have never used the Atomic Bomb.

I hope I can say the same word 10 years later and 20 years later and .......

National Center Test

On last saturday and sunday, national center tests for university were held in Japan.

I took the center test more than 10 years ago. Oh memories!

In the past, an academic ability of Japanese students are No1 in the world.

But now, it have declined.

It can't be helped , I think, because academic ability will grow in economic growing coutries, not mature country like Japan.

if we want to become No1 again, we have to become poor again??

First Snow

Snow!

Yesterday first snow in this season falls in Tokyo.

I live in Okayama (more country than Tokyo) and I have never seen much snow recently.

In my childhood, we could see more snow and we can play snowball fight every year!

Now I can see much snow in ski resort only.

It is a result of global warming trend......

Coming-of-Age Day

In Japan, the 2nd Monday is the day of "Coming-of-Age" .

Ceremonies are held and many new adult men and women join them.

Adult means 20 years old in Japan.

However, in recently every years, some accidents of violence are occured by excited young men.

2o years old is really adult ?

Japanese Character

In Japanese language, there are three kinds of characters.
They are called as Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji.

All of them are originated from Chinise character.

Hiragana and Katakana is close to Alphabet in English, because they are sound-express character.

Kanji is ideographic character and there are more than 10,000 characters,

and I (and probably most of japanese) can't know all of them.

It is one (and main) reason why japanese language is hard to learn.

So I respect foreigner who can speak and write Japanese very well!

World map

In most of Japanese world maps, "japan" island is located at the center of maps.

As a result, central area of map is occupied by the large sea "patific".

The United State is in most east side, and E.U is in most west side.

Therefore, For japanese it is hard to understand that "Asia" (include Japan) is called as "Orient" and U.S.A is called as "Western".

Mouse year

According to the "Eto" , this year is "mouse" year in Japan.

The word ”Eto" means the oriental zodiac, and each year is given one of 12 animals name.

It is suitable to the "mouse" year that fire happened in Tokyo Disney Land on January 3rd.
